Packages
The basic package is of 7 nights’ duration. However, we can design a package for any length of duration
7-night packages
This includes 3 nights in Marrakech (with breakfast), 1 night en route to the desert (with breakfast and dinner) and 3 nights at the camp (including all food and drink, camel hire and excursions). Also included is the return trip from Marrakech in a 4x4.
In the medina of Marrakech we work with a few riads (being private homes with courtyards that have been converted into small hotels), all chosen because of their uniqueness and excellent service. They are listed as follows:
• Riad Zamzam (www.riadzamzam.com). English–owned, beautifully restored 7-bedroom riad in the northern part of the medina. They prepare superb food. The 7-night package price is 1320 euro per person.
• Dar Hanane (www.dar-hanane.com). Fabulously restored, in the heart of the medina. 7-night package price is 1270 euro per person.
• Riad Adore (www.riadadore.com). Recently opened, located in the plushest neighbourhood in the medina, is classy, chic, but still traditional. The 7-night package is 1,370 euro per person.
• Villa des Orangers (www.villadesorangers.com). Sublime 23 bedroom Relais & Châteaux hotel, where the 7-night package in a room with rooftop terrace costs 1700 euro per person.
• If, on the other hand, you require space, tranquility and a large pool we recommend Mirage d’Atlas (www.miragedatlas.com), which is situated in Bab Atlas palmeraie, 15 minutes from the centre. Package price is 1430 euro per person.
En route to the desert we offer two accommodation options, both of which are small, rustic and charming:
• Kasbah Ellouze (www.kasbahellouze.com), an 11-bedroom chambre d’hôtes attached to a decaying Kasbah near Aït Benhaddou (setting for various film epics). It’s about 4 hours from Marrakech and 6 hours from the desert.
• Secondly, Dar Qamar (www.locsudmaroc.com) is a 10-bedroom maison d’hôtes de charme located amongst the narrow and winding streets of Agdz, exactly half way between Marrakech and the camp.
Please note that whilst the camp does not have high season supplements (Xmas, New Year and Easter), the riads do. Therefore in peak season a small supplement may apply.
